Food Serving Robot Contest

TechBLE is an event created at VIVISTOP Kanazawa.

 The name is a portmanteau of “technology” and “table”. The community explores various activities at the intersection of the two concepts.

 We explore the combination of these two vectors from various viewpoints, such as cuisine, food culture, agriculture, logistics, energy, and more.

 In January 2022, the Food Serving Robot Contest was held as the first step in TechBLE’s activities.

 Contestants entered with robots of their own creation that were designed to serve customers orders at a restaurant recreated on stage.

 Could robots go beyond and provide a spirit of hospitality? In this way, the competition was an opportunity to consider the relationship between robots and humans and how they may interact in the future.
